A PAIR OF RUSSIAN PORCELAIN GILT URNS, KORNILOV BROTHERS, ST. PETERSBURG, 1839-1861
each of urn form with scalloped gilt rim with handles terminating from the body, with gilt cartouches framing bouquets of spring flowers the side panels with gilt floral sprays, each with a rounded foot atop a rocaille base, against a teal and gilt ground accented by white, each marked with factory mark in iron red underglaze underside of each; height: 29.5 cm (11 5/8 in.)
The pair is in good age-appropriate condition. The interior and underside of one with very fine hairline cracks. Inspection under UV light shows scattered restoration to both, most notably around the foot rim and base of each, to the body and handles.
