Four engravings of Evangelists Luke, Matvei, Mark, and Ioan Bogoslav. Initials, headings. Colophon. Folio. Size: 330 x 210 mm. Printed in black and red. The first fly leaf has manuscript inscription with the provenance. 18th Century Russian binding of red leather over wooden panels with two clasps. Some damp staining at the margins. The last two pages have old neat margin restorations, not effecting text. A beautifully printed early Russian printed book. Good condition. n.b. The present lot has an even earlier binding than the version of this book (with a 19th C. binding), which is in the collection of the Hermitage (inv. 96303).
