LOT NOTES Boris Korolev was a famous Russian Soviet Avant-garde sculptor (Cubism). He was a professor of sculpture in SVOMAS-VKhUTEMAS. Korolev participated in many exhibitions including the First Russian Art Exhibition in Berlin (1922). Boris Korolev is a highly acclaimed artist. In 1990`s the Getty Center (Getty Research Institute), known for its collections of Avant-garde materials such as the Lissitzky`s archive, Bauhaus works and others, acquired 133 items from Korolev`s archive.
