Egg tempera, gold leaf and gesso on wood panel. Punched flowers ornamentation in the background. Two insert splints on the back and one insert splint on the top. 18 x 15 cm (7 1/8 x 6 in.) Icon has crack in the center from top to bottom and wormholes on the surface.

Acquired in the 1930s in Moscow by the Grandfather of the present owner, a diplomat in the Italian Embassy to the Soviet Union
