PROVENANCEEstate of Felix de Weldon, Newport, Rhode IslandFelix de Weldon, the original owner of this painting, was most famous for being the sculptor of the Iwo Jima Memorial at the Arlington National Ceremony.  This painting was held at his historic Beacon Rocke Estate in Newport, until he lost the property and most of his assests due to financial hardship.
