the cavetto emblazoned with a medallion featuring the Russian Imperial Coat of Arms surrounded by a black inscription on gilt ground Nicholas, Emperor and Autocrat of All the Russias, the cavetto further decorated with red rosettes and foliage, the rim with an intricate network of scrolling foliate design with blue and green field flowers on a burnished gilt ground, diameter: 22.4 cm (8 3/4 in.), marked with the Imperial Cypher of Nicholas I on base
