both images of Christ present him in a glowing mandorla, the bottom portion depicts the Savior holding a scroll symbolic of his victory over death as he raises Adam from the dead, while Eve, clad in a red cloak, appears beside him; the top portion of the composition presents Christ standing on his closed tomb, rising from the underworld. Egg tempera and gesso on wood panel with kovcheg and rubchik. Two insert splints on the back (both missing). 31 x 25 cm (12 1/4 x 9 7/8 in.)
