The saint depicted holding a sword in one hand an the city of Mozhaisk, as a symbol of his patronage, in the other. Egg tempera, gold leaf, and gesso on wood panel with a kovcheg. Two insert splints on the back. 31.2 x 26.2 cm. ( 12 1/4 x 10 1/4 in.)
