LOT NOTES
Leontiy Mazanov graduated from the VKhUTEIN in 1927. In his formative years he experienced the influence of K.S. Petrov-Vodkin and I.I. Brodsky. In spite of studying avant-garde techniques in VKhUTEIN, Mazanov was fond of traditional artistic genres such as landscapes and portraits.
