the lion shown seated on its haunches, with one leg raised over a pierced and ribboned brocade ball, the large head turned gently to its left, detailed with bulging eyes, bushy brows and open mouth revealing neat teeth and sharp fangs, the mane and spine applied with swirling locks of hair and smaller curls, height: 35 cm (13 3/4 in.)
